Wiggins was Governor Ratcliffe's manservant and the former secondary antagonist of the 1995's Pocahontas

Description

He was Ratcliffe's servant and represented his exact opposite: while his chief is arrogant and greedy, Wiggins is kind, funny but dimwitted and not really evil. He also takes care of Percy, Ratcliffe's dog, and can be creative like hedging or modifying a worn arrow.

History

He leaves with the governor on board the ship where he is responsible for transporting Percy and is seen supporting an umbrella during a storm.

Unlike Ratcliffe who wants to exterminate any stranger he meets, Wiggins rejoices, proposing to offer them gift baskets. He says he likes Ratcliffe jealous of John Smith's popularity.

He was the one who appreciated Ratcliffe's speech the most when the settlers arrived in the New World. He is briefly seen during the song "Mine, Mine, Mine" pushing a wheelbarrow and singing.

Later, Wiggins hides cowardly behind the bushes, which are then destroyed by an attack by Indians.

On a rainy day, Wiggins enters Ratcliffe's tent and makes him believe that he has been hit in the head by an arrow that he has in fact faked. He explains to the governor all the reasons which pushed the natives to attack, which makes Ratcliffe believe that it is they who hide the gold.

Wiggins appears again when Smith returns from a reconnaissance mission and points out that he likes gruel. At night, Thomas alerts the colonists to the kidnapping of Smith and Wiggins who had slipped out of his tent to prevent Ratcliffe is seized by the latter who takes advantage of the situation to attack the Indians.Wiggins then takes charge of dressing him for combat and gives him the guns.

He only appears at the end, having not participated in the confrontation. He reproaches Ratcliffe for his attitude by saying that he was highly recommended.

Although Wiggins no longer reappears, it is implied that he returned to England with the rest of the settlers.
