Tom is a character who appears in the Disney XD animated series, Star vs. the Forces of Evil. He is a demon who lives in an underworld dimension, and is Star's ex-boyfriend.

Background

Personality

Tom is known to be very hot-headed, as he is quick to get angry, and literally, bursts into flames. He is used to getting what he wants, and will not hesitate to be violent about it.

He is extremely selfish, rude, and vengeful, as evidenced by his bullying towards Star. He always tries to make her go out with him, and threatens to destroy the Earth with his hordes of demons and monsters if she does not. Star does not like him at all, and sees him as a terrible boyfriend, but the true reason she broke up with him currently remains unknown.

Trivia

In a storyboard test, Tom originally had a different design, including a different hairstyle and horns.
His name is likely a reference to "The Devil and Tom Walker", Washington Irving's adaptation of the story of Faust.
