Sir Edgar is the villain in the Miramax film Ella Enchanted. He seeks to become king of his kingdom by killing Prince Charmont and murdered Prince Charmont's father the former king. He was Sir Edgar's brother! He was played by Cary Elwes.

Sir Edgar shares similarities with Scar from The Lion King. They're both uncles to a hero, they killed their brothers to become king and try to kill their own nephews and die in the end.
Sir Edgar doesn't exist in the book, and Charmont does not have a known uncle.
