General Grievous is the supreme leader of The Droid Army, appearing as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Darth Sidious) of the 2005 film Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. He is also a tyrannical commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

He was the leader of a massive droid army, and he launched a fearsome attack on Coruscant. While doing so, he also kidnapped Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, and took him as a hostage. As Anakin and Obi-Wan have managed to rescue Palpatine and destroy his ally, Count Dooku, Grievous ordered his soldiers to activate shield generators. As Palpatine, Anakin and Obi-Wan were caught inside a shield, they were immediately sent to Grievous. However, they have managed to escape and destroy some of Grievous's droid soldiers. Grievous abandoned the ship with an escape pod. He then heard from Darth Sidious that Dooku's loss was necessary, as he was offered to become Sidious's apprantice. He then organized an attack on the planets of Kashyyyk and Utapau, and took over both of the planets, thus celebrating his victory. He then sent a ship with Utapau's leaders onboard to a prison on Mustafar. Obi-Wan Kenobi, however, came to Utapau and destroyed some separatists.

As the droids have aimed their weapons at Obi-Wan Kenobi, Grievous decided to deal with Obi-Wan himself. Grievous revealed Obi-Wan Kenobi that he was trained by the fallen warrior, Count Dooku, implying that he had manipulated Dooku all the time. He then tried to kill Obi-Wan as the two had battled each other. In the middle of the battle, Grievous had used his vehicle to retreat, as Obi-Wan chased him, by riding giant Varactyl lizard. Obi-Wan eventually caught up with Grievous, as they have started to fight once again. Obi-Wan eventually jumps onto Grievous's vehicle, as the vehicle crashes a minute after, as a result of the two fighting and Grievous not driving properly. Grievous then tried to kill Obi-Wan. However, before Obi-Wan was finnished, he shot Grievous's chest. Grievous was burnt to death after a few bullets have hit his body.
