Doctor Octopus is a villain in the Spider-Man franchise, appearing as the main antagonist in Spider-Man 2, and a minor antagonist turned supporting protagonist in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He used to be Peter Parker's idol. But due to a lab accident, four metallic arms were welded to his spine, driving him to insanity. To this day, he is one of Spider-Man's most infamous and implacable enemies and continually tries to destroy him, but naturally he gets defeated every time.
